Hello O’Haire fans. How is everyone. I know it has been a very, very long time since I have done a column. Sometimes life can be so complicated and hectic. I wish we could all just slow down and enjoy living. We are only here once in this setting anyway. Are there more lives for us to live? Have we already lived countless others? I am certain that I was a part of a royal family in Ancient Egypt. Okay, I am not a wacko or anything, I just wonder if it could be an explanation for my love of ancient things. Have you ever wondered about that? Why is it that we like the things we do? For instance I love music, mystery, history, rubber duckies, vintage French art, and Star Trek. Just to name a few things. I have read all of Patricia Cornwell’s Scarpetta books. The Scarpetta series is about Virginia’s Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Kay Scarpetta. She also holds a Law Degree. The series runs through serial killers, loup garu, and Kay’s personal life drama. That is just a brief description. What attracts me to the series are several things. I will list them: Most of them take place in Virginia (my home state), also travel to surrounding states such as North Carolina, Dr. Kay is a very strong willed, independent, successful woman, a role model of sorts, I like solving puzzles so I really enjoy murder mysteries, and Cornwell is possibly the best at it. She has journalism, law, and forensics experience so she practically has lived what she writes. She is a wonderful writer. If you are interested you can visit her website www.patriciacornwell.com. I highly recommend starting at the beginning of her series. If you like this stuff you will be hooked.

So where am I going with this? Well I am finish up the Elizabeth Peters series of Amelia Peabody-Emerson books. They too are mystery books. Peabody is an amateur sleuth of sorts married to Egyptologist Radcliff Emerson. The books go through their many adventures. They always seem to come across a mystery or a body falls on one of them. Kind of like Scooby-Doo. So here is my Ancient Egypt and murder mystery connection. As soon as I finish this series I will delve into the William Shatner Star Trek series. I have finished Captain’s Peril. I am so glad Captain Kirk is still alive. I love Kirk!

I want the world to know that I saw Fuel in concert last Friday night. They played at Radford University. It is about 45 minutes down the road from me. There were about 1,000 in attendance. It was so hot.! Their performance was so energetic and explosive that even I felt better afterwards even though the Benadryl I am taking for allergies, was trying to make me sleepy. I really like when bands play smaller venues. I think it gives the fans more of a chance to feel like a part of the show. And it must be good for the bands to be able to contact their fans more directly. When you are in a room with 10,000 or more other people, it just doesn’t feel very personal.

On to wrestling . . . How about those roster changes? Well big surprise that triple nose (thanks Ms. Toni) ended up back on Raw. I suppose you can get whatever you want when you legally have the right to see the bosses daughter naked. Whatever! You know one day Sean will have his turn and he is going to kick HHH’s behind! Speaking of HHH and backsides, does anyone else think that HHH will look like Greg Valentine in 20 years? More random thoughts . . . Mark Jindrak looks better with Sean by his side. Glad to see the Dead Man gimmick back. Is Sable really Brock Lesnar’s girlfriend? Gross! Jackie Gayda needs to keep her puppies in check. The whole hate the French gimmick is tired now. Why did they release Farouq? Are Trish and Jericho really getting one over on Christian? How long will Batista put up with Evolution politics? What is in Randy Orton’s trunks?

Meanwhile, Sean has been at OVW as personal enforcer for Jim Ross. Now you might not agree, but I think this is good. If you are called Jim Ross’ s anything that means he likes you. Sean has been OVW/WWE for several years now. I really feel that they see something in him. He has been working very hard and it will pay off. I for one am glad that they are not just throwing him out there in some ridiculous gimmick or storyline that has nowhere to go. He does need to be a flunky, nor does he need a valet. When he makes his mark it will be in a big way. As much as I want to be able to see him on TV I want it to be right. It will happen. There are a lot of talents that aren’t being using to their potential. Perhaps this roster shake-up will help things along. I found it interesting that WWE had an article on legend Paul Orndorff, who happened to train Sean at WCW. Perhaps we will see Mr. Orndorff in the future or not. There has been discussion among fans about the Undertaker putting Sean over. Yes Taker has clout, he has pull, he knows the business, and he is respected. I just cannot see Sean as one of his cronies. Regardless of the authenticity to backstage rumors about relations between the two men, it just does not work for me. I can see Sean making a big impact on his own. It just has to be the right time and the right setting. I can see him maybe befriending or getting the stamp of approval from some veterans such as Stone Cold maybe. Stone Cold does not really make friends, but he has a way of showing approval for people and their actions. Does this make sense to anyone? I suppose the big point is that Sean does not need anyone to present and carry him. What he needs is to come out on his own with a big thumbs up from a big name. With Taker he would be just a part of a group headed up by one man.

As always feel free to send your comments, questions, and suggestions. Thanks to JT for continuing to let me take part in her great site. And thanks to all of you regulars who put up with me. I appreciate and respect every single one of you. I have never intentionally yelled or intended to hurt any persons feelings. We all have different views, opinions, and life experiences. That is what makes us all unique. We are all here because of our passion and support for Sean O’Haire. The man, the wrestler, and the hottie. LOL

Til next time,

Kitty
